To Utah We Go!

Hello dearest family (and friends),

We have had a wild month full of traveling and of course adventure!

Like I mentioned before this is Shaun's busy time of year. He travels a lot to different farm shows and dealerships to train others on certain products. This month (July) he was gone for 3 weeks! Next month were hoping things will calm down but come September and October he will be gone most of the month.

This last month Shaun traveled to Beloit, KS and Jackson, MN. In Beloit he met with product specialist and learned about seeding and tillage equipment. He enjoyed taking them all for a spin and seeing them in action. He's was very excited to see a new "rotofinisher" being pulled by an articulating tractor.  I have have no idea what any of that means but he says its likes its a big deal. So we just assume it is. During the week we received lots of pictures or tractors and corn plants. Obviously he really enjoyed himself. Shaun also is finishing his last classes for his masters! 4 more week folks and were free! Can you believe it! Its finally almost over! We're so excited to be able to actually have time to do things together! Sadly things have been so busy with work he hasn't been able to get involved with his classes as much as he would like, but he still really enjoys them both as they are marketing courses.

While Shaun was out traveling Carter and I headed out west to keep us occupied. It was amazing. I miss the west, its so much different and I forget how low key and slow life goes out there. I "babysat" my two youngest siblings while my parents traveled the globe and also had a chance to head to Roosevelt for a few days. I love that place, every time we go it makes me want to farm more and more. I also left he kid with grandma and headed out to cut hay with Levi (Shaun's brother). I never knew what farming was until I married into this family but I'll tell you what, its an AMAZING life. I love how busy things are and how you get to always be outside working in a way I've never experienced. While in the basin we also had Carter try goat milk and he LOVED it. I think it helped with his reflux and we no longer have to fight him to eat. Now, I have to fight him to stop eating, but its a fight I welcome! I also experienced what its like for your little one to get sick for the first time. It was horrible. Little guy caught some type stomach flu and had things squirting out all ends!  It was nasty, for 3 days straight I  have been covered in throw up and poop, oh mom-hood...

Another fun thing that happened this month was Caden came home off his mission! Last night when we were saying our prayers we were a little caught of guard that we no longer have a specific missionary to pray for! That's the first time in 3 years! WHOA! They are all home and it's so great! You can tell the mission did them all good except some how the love for junky cars still haunts Caden and Jetson. Oh and Caden still makes your butt pucker any time you get in the car with him. Its a gift how scary he drives. Peru, England and Mexico lost some great missionaries this last year, but were so glad to have them home!

And lastly Carter turned 3 months a few weeks ago! I finally had a chance to make his little update newsletter thing! He is such a happy boy! He is always smiling and makes hearts melt. He also has started to giggle and its the best sound in the world! He is working on rolling over but gets hung up on his side then throws a fit that he's stuck. He also has a tooth coming in which makes him drool and chew like nobody's business! I've given up on putting clothes on him since they are soaked with in a matter on minutes! Everywhere we go we still have people comment on how long his fingers are and his big feet. Not sure where either of those came from! I also found out that he looks identical to Caden... Well I think he does anyway.

Carter and Tug- cutest goat there is!
